Daria Lozheshnikova

Good morning Help Us Help family! Today we’re excited to introduce you to Daria Lozheshnikova! Daria is in her second year of the Scholarship Program and is studying Design at the Cherkasy State Technological University. In her free time, Daria likes to draw, and she dreams of becoming a professional designer. Daria has a unique and beautiful story. Below read how Daria describes her journey:

In 2014, the war broke out and my father, a volunteer soldier of the National Guard of Ukraine, died in the ATO. My happy world fell apart. My dreams became unfulfilled and I needed to learn how to live with this indescribable feeling. At first, I locked myself in -- communication with friends was extremely difficult. During this time, only drawing took me into a happy state - my childhood, the world of bright colours. I drew intuitively, portraying my thoughts and feelings. My naive pictures were pleasing to people and my mother and I gifted them to ATO volunteers. 

My life changed when my drawings were displayed in Montreal in 2015. I began to be invited to participate in art competitions and festivals. One of my first solo exhibitions took place in the Cherkasy Regional Art Museum, but I have also exhibited my art at other festivals such as the Regional Philharmonic festival. My most recent exhibition continues to be held at the Regional Children’s Library. On October 12, 2016 in the city of Kyiv, I participated in the charity auction auction “ARTvsWAR.” Several of my works were sold and the money went towards helping children affected by the war. In the Hall of Fame of the Central Museum of the National Guard of Ukraine in Kyiv, my painting “Red poppies or these flowers will never fade” is permanently displayed.

In 2018, I participated in a competition for the development of a Monument to the Fallen ATO Heroes, dedicated to heroes such as my father. My project, titled “Unbreakable Spirit” was recognised as the competition winner and is now displayed in the “Glory Square” of my hometown - Cherkasy.”

У цей чудовий день пропонуємо Вам, познайомитися з наступною учасницею Освітньої програми “Стипендіат” - Дарією Ложеніковою, котра долучилася до нашого проєкту півтори роки тому. Народилася наша героїня у місті формування Козаччини - Черкасах.

Після закінчення школи вступила до Черкаського державного технологічного університету на Факультет комп'ютеризованих технологій машинобудування і дизайну.

Не всі знають, що на початку 2018 року Дарія стала переможницею конкурсу на найкращий ескіз пам'ятнику загиблим Героям АТО, який згодом був відкритий на площі Слави рідного для неї міста. Серед героїв, яким присвячено пам’ятник, є і її батько. Володимир Ложешніков з позивним Ест, доброволець батальйону "Донбас", який загинув на початку війни в "Іловайському котлі".

Цілеспрямована та рішуча дівчина, у вільний від навчання час, займається малюванням, її картини були виставлені у приміщенні Головного Управління Національної Поліції Черкаської області. У майбутньому, вона дуже мріє стати професійним дизайнером.
